On Finishing a Series, and What Comes Next

I've been very lax about my writing updates lately. A lot has happened in the past month, and it's going to be an incredible infodump to detail it all. But I'll start with the first big thing.

I've finished the Super Sporty series.

And I don't mean that I've finished writing it. I mean, it's actually finished. Formatted, edited, published. All of the Kindle editions and paperback editions are available on Amazon. It's all done and dusted.

Honestly, it feels amazing.

Not because I was getting bored of it. I wasn't. But there comes a time when you've been working on something for years (nine years, to be exact), and you just want to move on and try something new.

It's been an incredible journey, and it's taught me so much about the craft of writing, as well as publishing. I published the first Super Sporty book when I was just eleven, and I've grown from there. I can actually read through the series and watch myself getting better and better. Story structure, plot, pacing, characters, voice, continuity, climax -- these were all things I learned about while writing this series.

So, with my beautiful, self-published series behind me (which I am so, so, so proud of, by the way), it's time to move forward with something new.

But that'll have to wait until next time.

Like I said, it's a bit of an infodump.
